Last week I spent the the morning with the loves of my life (Stella & Scarlett) at Truitt Bark Park in Midtown Sacramento. Those who know me know that I will rarely be spotted without my dogs in tow. They love a good construction site but most days are found at the office keeping everyone in line and giving clients lots of cuddles. Suffice it to say, we anxiously awaited the opening of Truitt Bark Park since it is within walking distance from my Midtown pad. The park itself opened at the end of July and features separate fully fenced spaces for both small and large dogs. We are excited about this amazing new addition to Midtown – not to mention the park is open 365 days a year. You can find everything you need to know about the park here on their website, including a calendar of events.
I have lived in Midtown for about a year and half and it’s incredible to see the positive improvements that keep popping up around me. Truitt Bark Park is located at 19th & Q, in close proximity to another one of Midtown’s newest developments, the Ice Blocks. Home to famed Philz Coffee, this retail, office, and residential property has residents from the greater Sacramento area buzzing. I can easily see stopping off at Philz for a coffee on the way to the dog park becoming my new weekend ritual.
Now a little bit more about my sweet angels, Stella and Scarlett. Stella (the white and chestnut Blenheim) is my first love, and is about three and a half years old. I’ve had her since she was a puppy and it is hard for me to imagine what my life was like before she was in it. She’s my ride or die, always by my side and guarding the office from the mail lady on a daily basis. The ever so gentle Scarlett (reddish Ruby) came into my life in February of this year. She is six years old and a rescue so she is a still a baby in my eyes. Scarlett has a heart of gold, but it takes a while to earn her trust…the girls in the office are still trying to win her affection.
If you haven’t gotten your fix of my precious pups, be sure to hop on over to their Instagram page, @stellaaandscarlett, to follow the life of two very spoiled design dogs. They are also very often featured in my Instagram stories over at @katrina_stumbos, so be sure to keep an eye out for them there as well. See you all on the streets of Midtown — or on a Sunday morning at the dog park.
